Beneficiaries: Population supported by AMI in Portugal and in the World
The AMI Christmas Mission supports families monitored by AMI who are in a situation of poverty and social exclusion in the national territory, as well as projects at an international level, in various areas of activity, from health, nutrition, education, associations, social businesses and environment.
Now that Christmas is approaching, we want to provide all those for whom we work with a dignified and happy season. And for that we need your help for the 10th AMI Christmas Mission.
In 2019 alone:
- We supported 9,788 people in Portugal;
- We worked with 1,386 homeless people;
- We delivered food items to 5,037 people;
- In social facilities and through Home Support, more than 180 thousand meals were served;
- More than 100 people out of 328 supported through specific AMI employment support offices found work in 2019;
- We have developed 39 international projects in 20 countries;
- Until December 2019, we rehabilitated more than 200,000 m2 of forest land.
All of this was only possible thanks to the generosity, commitment and dedication of all our donors, volunteers, partners and teams.

Ambassador of the AMI Christmas Mission
This mission is sponsored by the portuguese actor Diogo Mesquita, ambassador of this initiative for the 4th consecutive year.

Several companies have supported these families through the financing or donation of products for the creation of the Christmas hampers and parties at AMI’s Porta Amiga Centers and the promotion of leisure and social moments for our beneficiaries.
