Presentation of proposals for solving local problems detected by young people between the 7th and 12th grades, through volunteering activities.

With the aim of changing social realities and, at the same time, training young people, in order to make them aware of the possibility that each one has of improving the community that surrounds them, the “Linka-te aos outros” award has as its target group all young people attending school between the 7th and 12th grade. This award consists of the presentation of proposals to solve local problems that the students detect through volunteer activities.

The “Linka-te aos Outros” award is based in its entirety on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Ending poverty, promoting prosperity and well-being for all, protecting the environment and fighting climate change are goals that, although they seem vague and difficult to achieve, depend on the involvement of all governments and citizens.

With small gestures, at school, on the street, at home, with family, colleagues or friends, it is easy for each of us to be part of building a more humane world.

The “Linka-te aos Outros” is an award that helps young people to achieve these goals.

AMI will select the most consistent projects (5 maximum) and finance 90% of them, up to a total of €2,000. The remaining 10% of the presented budget will have to be obtained by the young people themselves, from companies, institutions and/or local businesses.

Linka-te aos Outros goes further:

  • It encourages rigor, as the application form constitutes a rigorous project proposal, with the definition of general and specific objectives, results, activities, budget, execution schedule, viability and sustainability criteria and impact;
  • It encourages the involvement of young people in the community.

I never thought we would win anything. It seems that others always win and what we do seems not to be as good as what others do. I am so happy!”
“We are going to show Famalicão that young people are capable of contributing with voluntary work
