Emergency mission to support the population affected by the earthquake in Turkey/Syria

We are working with the Syria Relief & Development organization, which works directly with the victims of the earthquake, whose consequences were devastating, as those responsible for the organization told us. The situation is very worrying and the most urgent needs are in terms of health, shelter and food. We need your contribution so we can get as much help as possible to those in need.

Intervention:

The local partner we are working with is based in Turkey and is supporting the 24-ambulance emergency teams that are assisting victims of the earthquake in northwest Syria, and operating a Mobile Emergency Clinic in response to the affected population of the Haram and Milles zones, in Azaz and Daret Azza districts, Syria.

The Mobile Emergency Clinic team is made up of 5 elements: 1 doctor, 1 nurse, 1 midwife, 2 Psychosocial Support technicians.

Through the Mobile Emergency Clinic, general medical consultations and reproductive and pediatric health services, non-specialized mental health care and psychosocial counseling are available to the affected population. In addition, patients will be referred so that they have access to specialized services.

The aim is to carry out an average of 1,200 consultations per month, totaling around 3,600 consultations at the end of the 3-month project.
