The “No Planet B” project aims to foster a significant sense of co-responsibility among EU citizens, promoting actions by civil society organisations and political commitment to tackle the ecological crisis.
The project “No Planet B: Bridging science and society to foster inclusive transition strategy” is developed in a consortium, led by Fondazione Punto.Sud (Italy) and involving partners from Portugal (AMI – Foundation for International Medical Assistance), Hungary (Hungarian Baptist Aid), Spain (Fondo Andaluz de Municipios para la Solidaridad Internacional), Germany (Finep Akademie), France (ACTED), Estonia (Mondo), and Poland (Fairtrade Poland).
It aims to promote the development of a meaningful sense of co-responsibility among European Union citizens, promoting actions by Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and political commitments to address the ecological crisis. This project encompasses three components:
A) Financial support – identification and support of small innovative models driven by CSOs from the 8 countries, formulated based on evidence and presenting high informational and impactful potential for their target groups;
B) Capacity building – promoting the improvement of knowledge, skills, and techniques of CSOs to develop future projects and attract funding.
C) Networking and dissemination of results – implementing a communication strategy for results and key messages, involving priority segments of the target group and stakeholders such as authorities and local agents. The project lasts 48 months, starting in January 2024, with a total budget of €6,225,516, of which €767,967 is allocated to the intervention in Portugal. This action is co-financed by the European Union, under the DEAR (Development Education and Awareness Raising) program.
